PerfectMatch.com takes the gloves off in statements against the competition. It claims to be better than eHarmony by giving some compelling arguments about its superior qualities. From my own experience, I would say some of what it claims is better is true, some of it is untrue and most of it simply makes it different—not better. I have already said that some of these compatibility-based matching systems are mostly pop psychology mumble-jumble, but I have always been the first to admit when test results seem to state clearly my qualities and flaws.

Dr. Pepper Schwartz, sounding the German equivalent of my favorite soda, is the brains behind this dating experience. The good doctor, always referred to by her full title, seems to provide more input into the site than say Dr. Neil Clark Warren does on his infamous eHarmony site. Despite Neil’s name being longer and more serious sounding, he appears more of a figurehead than old Pep does. On Perfect Match, there are personality tests, links to online TV/radio, the doctor’s regular column and a special "Ask Dr. Pepper Schwartz" exclusive.

"...at almost $60 US for just one month, it’s a pricey proposition."

I am a simple man, but if you read the results of my personality test, many of my personal characteristics are complicated and contradictory to one another. Perfect Match accused its major competitor of transparent compatibility testing. I have to say that I found PerfectMatch is much more obvious about where you're headed during and after the test.

The purpose of various sections of questions was quite plainly labeled and I could easily have fudged my answers to get the results I imagined were ideal. When matches were presented to me, it was abundantly clear that they were picked based upon their ability to tolerate my most blatant flaws. eHarmony’s questionnaire was more complicated and its modus operandi on making matches was never obvious to me.

One benefit of the site over its competition that is very evident to me is the ability to search profiles yourself as opposed to being based on the compatibility test alone. I waited a couple weeks before receiving any matches from eHarmony. Perfect Match lets me check out limited numbers of the other members for free.

Therefore, to compare Perfect Match to eHarmony, I have to say Perfect Match has a lot more content—period. It provides a fuller online experience and let’s you make some choices that eHarmony insists it can make for you better than you can make for yourself. Any Perfect Match contact is going to require a premium subscription and at almost $60 US for just one month, it’s a pricey proposition.

Visit Perfect Match if you want to try another “unique” compatibility system.

I joined Perfect Match two weeks ago and have received NO resonses. I was not offered a free trial. When I asked to cancel PerfectMatch said We are unable to comply with your refund request as your Premium subscription is not protected by a refund policy. So I paid for four months and only used it two weeks. I am not happy. Do not use this site. Use ones that offer free trials.

I added my profile before I read this. One thing I can tell you ladies is that the site does not allow me to specify the age range I m looking for. I m 48 and want 2 or 3 more of my own children but lowest age selection the site allows is my own age. Ridiculous! I probably sound PERFECT to a 47yo who thinks I want the children she already has and the only contacts I ve had so far are 44+.

I agree with Jen. I ve sent out 8 icebreakers and 2 emails and have gotten NO responses. And no, it s not me. The men who contact me are from different states, which isn t helpful for my dating life. I see a lot of men with max education of high school or associates. Money is better spent on a hot outfit and a night on the town.

There is really no way to tell if profiles are active. They all look inactive and no one responds to ice breakers or emails. Is this site even for real. I m thinking SCAM.

The site has no men what so ever. It is not worth the money you will spend. Try the free sites. You are better off and more likely to find a guy. The free sites are more easy to navigate than this site. Not to mention that the customer service is really bad. Look elsewhere.
