Salaam Love is an online dating site destined towards the Muslim community. At first blush, it appears somewhat standard with all the same services as most any web personals offering. Nevertheless, there are some minor differences, once you scratch the surface, which would make it standout enough against the rest of the mainstream market to satisfy its specialized audience. Unlike some of the other sites geared towards Muslims, it does not specifically state that it is a matrimonial site, but given its target audience perhaps that detail goes without saying.

The profile process is interesting on SalaamLove.com. Most of the basic information about you is mandatory to complete. Obviously, there is a section asking for your religious beliefs, as well as asking for your specific sect. There are also questions regarding your country of origin, not just your current residence. Moreover, besides the obligatory write-ups about yourself and your potential partner, what you might overlook is an optional series of short-answer questions that definitely delve deeper.

Some questions ask things of a romantic nature, such as whether you believe in true love, or what turns you on. Later, an area described as requesting your opinion lists one or two word descriptions of subjects on which you write a brief phrase describing how you feel about some rather hot topics. They run the gamut for example, from abortion to legalization of drugs to the capital punishment and the 911 attacks. It even prompts you with names of several politicians, too. They are normally the topics I would avoid on a first date, so I guess it's one way to cut to the chase. There is also a personality matching system.

Search options are limited until you upgrade. Although you can see full profile details and last login date on results, you cannot do searches closer than 150 miles from your zip, or postal code. When you are a premium member, you can narrow down your search radius to within 20 miles of home. Moreover, you will no longer be limited to only replying to instant messages and reading email. You will be able to initiate both instant messages and email, as well as to respond to the messages in your inbox. You can also post a video introduction to your profile.

One thing that I would say is missing from SalaamLove is any true sense of community. There are no message boards or general chat rooms. Instead, conversation is limited to a one-on-one basis, but for many that may be preferable as the point is to meet someone of the opposite sex to date. The greatest hindrance to your success on Salaam Love is the lack of visitors to the site, but at least it appears to be growing slowly in popularity.

I really dont know much about this Cause this is my first time I will be using it, a friend directed me here, he said this site worked for him, so that,means that it might just work for me too
