Sex In Your City has a very clear purpose. It's an adult dating site that is supposed to help you track down local folks for a casual hookup. It's an interesting site to me, since it has some design that gives a nod to various social networking sites. All the same, it is rather simple to use. For example, it offers only one option for contacting other members directly.

You'll be able to set up a profile in no time flat, not that that’s exactly a selling point. I mean, sure we're all eager to dive into a site to see who's on it, but the quality of the info that people provide really tends to suffer if no details are required to create a profile. You'll see plenty of blank descriptions, but at least a decent number of folks on SexInYourCity.com have added photos.

What sets the profiles apart from what you see on every other site are a couple of features that I've seen from other types of sites. Members have what is called their "wall" where they can post comments for everybody to see. You do have to be a premium member to make a posting, but it is free to vote on a member's hotness meter.

One minor issue I have with SexInYourCity is that there's a fair amount of advertising on the site. I think it's rather clear that this isn't part of the dating experience. There are some ads for porn and a link to a live webcam site. I should also mention that there are videos uploaded by other members, but some of them are previews of movies from porn sites.

Another important issue is that it is not free to reply to messages. I really find it takes away from the value of a paid membership. If everyone has to pay to play, you know your connections are going to be cut in half. However, there is still some good news about this site, which is that it knows how to pull visitors onto its pages. Sex In Your City might not be a perfect site, but it's so popular that you might want to check it out anyway.
