The name XXX Black Book harkens back to the days when swinging bachelors used to keep track of the ladies they dated with paper and pen. I don't know if all guys actually did it or not, but television characters like Sam Malone from the sitcom "Cheers" sure did. More recently, I think Heidi Fleiss the Hollywood Madame had one, but those weren't really "dates." At any rate, the 21st century man and woman want to save time and trees, so they sex date online.

The profile process is ridiculously fast. It really doesn't require any info beyond your location, which means that you can create a blank profile just to check out who's on the site. If you're serious, though, you'll fill out your profile in more detail. On the other hand, with almost everything being optional, you can insure your identity remains discreetly hidden if you're shy and for some people that might be another reason why their profiles are incomplete.

The problem is that the site doesn't offer much until you upgrade. For example, there are no local searches until you pay. You can get around this issue, though, by browsing all the different categories of members (males, females, couples, etc) and choosing to sort your results by those closest to you. You can also narrow down your results by interests or specific reason for being on the site. Update your location on your profile to change the results to show another city.

The biggest drawback is that you can only read messages, but not reply, until you buy a monthly membership. I think it's what I most dislike about XXXBlackBook. Even if you're a paid member, that limitation might crimp your style for making a hookup. However, there are lots of other benefits offered when you upgrade.

There's instant messaging and chat with audio/video capabilities. If you pay for the more expensive of the two membership options, you get access to some porn feeds. The site also has a "get laid guarantee" that states if you haven't had a hookup in three consecutive months of being a member, they'll give you three more months for free.

You might wonder how they can afford to be so confident about your prospects. Well, there is one thing I haven't mentioned yet and that's how popular the site is. It's pulling in a huge number of visitors to its pages. Another positive thing to say is that you won't be bombarded with spam and fake responses to your profile. XXX Black Book is best experienced by paid members, but it has enough members to make it worth trying out.

The site is great though i felt that they should put pics up for ppl who view my profile(am a free member lol) It offers more features for a free male member compared to some other sites that I have had an account with. Got some action but it became much better once i became a paid member
